One thing you should bear in mind for planning purposes is the Teide Cable Car timetable. You can check the cable car opening times here.
The stay at the upper station is limited to one hour. Those visitors who have a permit to access the crater can extend this limited time up to 2 hours to complete the activity.
- People with heart problems, pregnant women, and children under 3 are not allowed to ascend by cable car due to the risk that high altitude poses to their health. If you have any health problems, consult your doctor before planning your visit or booking your Teide Cable Car tickets.
- People with diverse physical or motor functionality are not allowed to use the Cable Car because, due to the technical conditions that exist in the National Park, it cannot be guaranteed that they can be safely evacuated in the time allowed by the regulations.
- It is essential to bear in mind that in the event of the failure of the cable car system due to unexpected technical reasons, passengers already at the upper station will have to make their descent on foot and using steep mountain paths.
- No pets allowed, apart from guide dogs and therapy dogs.
- We reserve the right to refuse admission. For more information, please check the rules for accessing the cable car.
You must show up at the Cable Car boarding area with your ticket, either printed or on your mobile phone, 20 minutes prior to the time slot specified on your ticket, although we recommend that you show up at the premises of the Cable Car prior to the boarding time, in order to have enough time to park, etc. If you arrive late you will lose the right to board.
Some ingredients on the brunch menu may vary depending on availability from our local suppliers.
It is necessary to produce the booking confirmation, either printed or displayed on a mobile device.
You should be prepared for extremes in weather, both heat as well as cold, depending on the time of year in which you use your Teide Cable Car tickets.
Our recommendations:
- Wear warm clothing and proper footwear.
- Protect yourself from sunstroke.
- Due to the elevated luminosity, wear sunglasses.
- Take plenty of water on hikes.

Please remember that it is prohibited to make fire, loud noises or to camp.
Reservations may be cancelled or the date of the activity may be changed free of charge up to 48 hours prior to the activity. After this period, 100% of the amount will be charged.
In the event that weather conditions impede the operation of the cable car for this activity, the price of the cable car return ticket shall be reimbursed at the following rates: Adults €41.00 (non-resident) or €10.25 (resident); Children €20.50 (non-resident) or €5.13 (resident).
Date changes are valid for 1 year provided that the vouchers have not been redeemed. Up to 3 date changes are permitted.
Check our Terms and conditions for detailed information on other reasons for cancellation.

Questions
When our booking staff contact you to book the time of your cable car ticket, they will confirm your menu preferences.
You can view available dates and times when you make your booking. In the Brunch in Tenerife with Ascent of Teide by Cable Car experience, you choose the order of the activities. You can ascend and then have brunch, or have breakfast first and ascend the volcano later. Booking staff will contact you to find out your preference and book your ascent time. One thing you should bear in mind for planning purposes is the Teide Cable Car timetable. You can check the cable car opening times here.
For area conservation reasons, the Teide National Park restricts the time to 1 hour. Also, staying at such an altitude for more than one hour increases the risk of suffering from altitude sickness. If you have a permit to access the peak of Teide, you can stay longer at the summit, without exceeding the 2 hours you’re allowed to spend in this area.

Very well organised visit, nice food and helpfull freindly staff.
Brunch was great with local specialities. Delicious!
Amazing
This was a highlight of our trip to Tenerife. Brunch was fabulous…delicious, high quality food,, prime table location with amazing views, and wonderful service from the staff. A must do for visitors to Mount Teide.
Good choice of food, not rushed at all, the waiter was very friendly and when he realised it was my husbands birthday, he even put a candle in the desert for him. Very thoughtful.
Excellent service. We were running late, so called in and they moved our cable car tickets to a later time slot without a problem. I loved the fact, we had a table reserved in a premium spot by the window, as the restaurant was packed. All the food and drinks were absolutely exquisite. We booked the premium version and received a lovely octopus platter to share as well. I would throughly recommend.
Was excellent 👍🏻

Live the Teide Legend at the Teide “Science and Legend” exhibition!
Brunch in Tenerife with Teide Cable Car Ticket includes free admission to the “Science and Legend” exhibition which you will find at the Teide Cable Car Visitors’ Centre.
You will learn about Mount Teide’s last major eruption (around 1,000 years ago) which the indigenous Guanches probably interpreted as a fight between mythological deities—an explanation far removed from that which science now attributes to volcanic eruptions.
The characters of the legend of Guayota, both gods and humans, will show you their vision of the stages of the eruption that took place back then, and which formed the pylon at the summit of Mount Teide, known locally as “el tapón del Teide” [the Teide cap]. A magical story in which good and evil join in an epic battle. Along with the legend, you will be shown reliable data to illustrate the scientific interpretation of the eruption. Although the two perspectives may seem diametrically opposed, they are in fact closely connected.
In addition, you can have a great time at our Visitors’ Centre, where you can find brilliant mementoes of your visit to the legend of the Teide National Park at our official souvenir shop. And you can relax and enjoy a culinary experience with panoramic views of the National Park in Spain’s highest restaurant and snack bar, whose badge of identity is the distinctly Canary Island character of its food and drink.
