All prices in the following table refer to a return day ticket when travelling independently. Children are considered to be between 3 and 13 years old:

What is included in the Teide Legend audio guide?

The Teide Legend audio guide is the ideal option if you are travelling to Mount Teide by private transport.

The Cable Car Visitors’ Centre now offers you much more, thanks to a new cultural experience—the “Science and Legend” exhibition—which you can access free with your cable car ticket

Get to know the main characters in Guanche mythology, and their relationship with the Teide volcano in a presentation that explains Mount Teide’s last great eruption, approximately 1,000 years ago, from the point of view of both science and legend.

Round off your visit by buying an amazing souvenir in the official shop, and try the mouthwatering local cuisine in Spain’s highest café-restaurant.

 

 

• Visit the volcano with a guide and hike to the Pico Viejo volcano viewpoint where you can gaze into its spectacular crater. Teide cable car also runs at sunset—in addition to the standard Mount Teide cable car opening times—and can carry a maximum of 90 people at this time.

There are two ways to enjoy this special service and each one is a fantastic opportunity to upgrade a standard trip:

• Sign up for our Cable car at sunset experience and enjoy the chance to watch the sun set at an altitude of 3,555 m as the shadow of Teide falls across the Atlantic, with Gran Canaria in the distance. Join a hike along a stunning trail around the volcano to the Pico Viejo viewpoint, gaze into its colourful crater, and spot the islands of La Gomera, El Hierro and La Palma out to sea.
• Choose our Sunset & Stars on Mount Teide activity which includes the Cable car at sunset experience plus transport from your hotel for small groups, stargazing at an altitude of 2,356 m with Starlight guides and long-range telescopes.

Important information about ascending to the peak of Mount Teide

The Mount Teide cable car ticket price does not include the permit for accessing the crater at the highest point of the volcano, at an altitude of 3,718 m. 

To access the crater you have two options:

• Obtain the permit yourself (several months in advance)
• Sign up for our Climbing the Teide Crater with the help of the Cable Car experience, the easiest and most comprehensive option.

You can park your car in the car park at the volcano’s base station, at an altitude of 2,356 m, between the following times:
